50th High School Reunion
Memorial Bridge in Springfield Mass. How many times have we traversed this bridge?
Looking up the Connecticut River from our hotel room window.
The appartment where Penny lived.
A familiar street sign. I often walked these streets to see Penny.
Good old 54 Norfolk Street where I grew up.
I remember "helping" Dad put the stone front on this house!
Western New England University where I matriculated - BSEE '70, MBA '78.
It has grown significantly since "my time." Beautiful campus.
And it is huge. We love the "We Inspire . . ." flags.
Einstein Sculpture.
Here's the explanation of the Sculpture.
These Inspirational Flags are seen throughout the center of campus.
The Quadrangle. Student dorm buildings - thre of the many are shown here.
I "famously" went through this door by mistake when enrolling. It was (is?) the computer center. I changed my major right at that point!
Our old elementary school is still there and still a school.
I would walk to this school each school day. What fun!
My 50th reunion was in June of this year, but we decided to limit ourselves to one trip back from CA. We chose to attend Penny's in October.
This facade is all that remains of the Tech building. Behind that facade (I'm told) is a new modern Data Center.
The Classical High Building (Penny's school) has been converted to private Condominiums.
In 1986, Classical and Tech merged and moved out to the 16 Acres part of Springfield into a new building.
There was a tour of the Classical building later, but meanwhile, here's most of those attending the 50th reunion dinner.
It was a fabulous celebration.
