Europe 2018 - Germany
For some of us, the trip to Salzburg began at LAX Airport.
Patiently waiting for breakfast.
LAX to SFO to Munich. Gathering at the Munich Airport.
It's not easy to get this big a crowd together all in one place.
Listening to our tour guide, Jarrod.
Getting food and drink for the long bus ride ahead.
The country side is beautiful - lush green and relatively flat.
Everything appears to be neat and clean.
Even the cows seem happy with the situation - rain or no rain!
Small communities spring up over this vast countryside.
Another small farming community sprang up along our route. Neat and clean.
This image is of a "competitor" to the Neuschwanstein Castle that we will tour. It is beautiful on the outside, but we will not see the inside of this building on this tour.
The reflection in the bus windows caught my eye. I especially like how the mountain ridge "lined up" in the left hand bus window.
On the way to Neuschwanstein Castle.
Another view of the “gold castle.”
Before touring the castle, we had a chance to get some images from this newly refurbished bridge.
Magnificent view from the bridge.
And, once I could get to the railing of the bridge, a fabulous view of Neuschwanstein Castle.
And beyond the castle a valley town.
Beautiful, lush, green countryside.
Dave and Penny. A fellow traveler was willing to take my camera so that I might be in at least one of the pictures!
Waterfalls below the bridge.
I took several shots of the castle as we made our way from the bridge.
