The man knows what he's doing. Fabulous food prepared by Chef Darrell enhanced by the Grinch pajama pants we all received. What's not to like about Grinch pants?
Duck, duck and more duck for Thanksgiving dinner. It was amazing, and so much fun to watch Darrell at work. He was very patient with all of my questions about what he was doing, what herbs he used and why and what the heck a "confit" is.
The table is set. Emelia quickly makes place cards so we all know where to sit.
Duck thighs on the griddle, duck breasts in the oven, chicken thighs on the outdoor gas grill - all "have to" come out at the proper time and together. How's that possible?
Don't drop me Uncle Jason!
Wheeee! Higher Uncle Jason!
Chicken, first on, last off.
Grilled Brussels Sprouts, check. Beet Risotto, check. Duck breasts, check. Duck thighs, check. Chicken thighs, check.
Slice the breasts and ready to plate.
Dress the thighs.
Now get to the table before the Chef screams that the food is getting cold!
I'm ready!
Get the man some wine.
